Want out but don’t know how!
Hey Fred,
I get a situation. Me and My Girlfriend have been together since High School. We agreed that we would wait to get married until after we finish University. We both finished school last year, but neither of us have brought up the conversation about getting married since. Now, out of nowhere, she stated that she is ready to move our relationship forward. I was all ready to do just that, but it happens that I happened to be in the grocery store when I met an older woman. It started over a simple conversation while waiting in line, and the next thing I knew, we were running into each other at other stores around town. One day, in a friendly matter, I offered to buy her a cup of coffee. We ended up having a really great time. Then one night, I happened to be at her home and one thing led to another. We ended up under the sheets. The problem that I am having is neither woman knows about each other. I am really into both women and find myself enjoying myself a little bit too much with this arrangement. They both seem to complete me, but I know that if either one of them found out about the other, I will be the one holding the bag.
Well, I want out but don’t know how,
It seems that you are genuinely content with the current situation you find yourself in. Taking a moment for self-reflection, you realize the importance of being sincere with yourself. Why surrender the source of your happiness? It may be time to have an open conversation with your partner, expressing that you need more time before taking the next step, and perhaps suggest revisiting the topic in three years. Embrace your current circumstances and continue until the timing feels right to commit. After experiencing life to the fullest, you will be fully prepared to walk down the aisle in pursuit of true love.
